Mobile Tech Lead

**We’re looking for an experienced mobile (iOS/Android) tech lead with a strong background in engineering who will work with the team to oversee the successful delivery of our crypto trading mobile app.

We have now grown to serve over 250,000 customers from Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, who trust Independent Reserve to easily buy and sell Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and other major cryptocurrencies. Independent Reserve offers a range of innovative features, including the KPMG tax reports, AutoTrader, API integration and world-class security.

Recently we were the first cryptocurrency exchange in Singapore to receive a licence from MAS (the local regulator), ahead of 170 global competitors. Moreover, we have plenty of exciting product and marketing developments planned over the next 12 months.

In response to our continued growth and success, we are expanding our technical team and are looking for a passionate and driven front-end tech lead to join our team in our North Sydney office.

**About The Role**:
In this role, reporting to the CTO, you will head up the development of our mobile app for trading cryptocurrencies and mentor the development team to ensure that business requirements are met with a high level of code quality, test coverage, and extensible, testable architecture.

You will be engaging and collaborating with the key stakeholders, leveraging excellent communication and relationship management skills to clearly translate the product vision, all business and technical requirements, and user needs into code.

Your key activities will include:

- Writing outstanding code to develop new features on the mobile app.
- Code review pull requests.
- Leading the development team to have clean, testable architecture.
- Working with designers to bring their designs to life
- Helping us take our user experiences to the next level with the design and architecture of cutting-edge products.
- Working closely with the business to bring product ideas to life, from inception to delivery, while managing the development process.
- Understanding complex technical requirements and guiding the development team to implement them.
- Supporting developers along various product roadmaps to help maintain motivation and drum up excitement about what they’re building to ensure critical deadlines are met.

**About You**:
Experience and skills we are looking for:

- Ideally, 5+ years of experience within a similar role, working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
- A genuine interest and understanding of crypto trading and the ecosystem with a desire to learn more.
- Exceptional focus and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- The ability to effectively handle competing priorities and adapt quickly to change.
