**Job Description**:
We are looking for a **General Manager, Compliance Risk & Privacy** to join our fast growing, global organisation. Reporting to the General Counsel, the General Manager will take the lead in the Compliance, Risk and Privacy functions globally within Symbio.
The role will involve developing and implementing compliance and privacy frameworks for the global business to ensure identification and compliance with obligations and implementation of compliance measures.
**What you'll do as a GM, Compliance Risk & Privacy**:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, as well as contribute to the longer-term strategy and vision of the functions
- Lead, support and mentor a dedicated team of 3 direct reports
- Identify and manage compliance and privacy risks, monitor compliance and privacy, implement improvements and changes to obligations
- Communicate and train internal stakeholders in relation to obligations, instilling a culture of compliance and risk management
- Lead compliance related investigations and responses to regulator inquiries and notices
- Implement Symbio’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework to embed risk management across the business globally
- Take the lead on related governance including timely, accurate and relevant reporting to executives and the Board
**Qualifications**:
**What you'll need to succeed**:
- Extensive experience in a Risk / Compliance Leadership role with a project delivery and relationship management focus
- Knowledge of risk, telecommunications related compliance, privacy
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Law or a related field
- Previous people-management experience with ability to lead and motivate
- A high level of analytical skills and strong commercial acumen
- Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to present complex solutions in an understandable format
- Strategic thinking and ability to influence
- Well-developed relationship building and project management skills
- Excellent time management and prioritisation, as well as advanced written and interpersonal communications skills.
