The Salvation Army Youth Services offer an integrated suite of programs engaging with young people across Australia. Our services create intentional avenues for young people to explore opportunities, build support networks, and access, participate and contribute to their communities. Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a values-driven State Administration Coordinator providing administrative support to the State Manager and Regional Managers for the Youth Stream. The position will involve a range of coordination activities, diary management and administration, including Project and Research support to enable to effective delivery of services.

You will successfully
- Be accountable for managing and maintaining high standards of business and administrative support to the operations of the Youth stream across 14 service sites as well as to the State and Regional Managers
- Prepare a range of reports, documents, and presentations to support the directions and priorities of the overall YOUTH Steam in Victoria.
- Communicate and promote important sector and organisational information to staff in YOUTH Victoria
- Support in the planning, promotion and running of community events and staff events including training, forums, and planning days
- Manage and oversee of social media accounts and assist with development of promotional materials
- Actively Engage with all Social Mission State Administration positions and contribute to the development of consistent practices and processes across the Social Mission Streams
- Develop relationships with a range of external and internal stakeholders to support efficient and effective execution of administrative duties
- Undertake moderately complex projects for specific national service development and delivery initiatives

This is a Permanent full-time position based at our Youth Services site in Sunshine. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award, Clerks Level 5.

What you can bring
- Relevant Business qualification such as Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration (desired)
- Experience working in a NFP, Youth & Homelessness sector will be highly regarded
- Experience in research and analysis and preparation of documentation
- Proficient in the use of IT systems and software, including MS Office suite
- Demonstrated time management, organisational and administrative skills
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of service users and professionally handle sensitive data and information
- Well-developed interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise and build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- A current VIC Drivers Licence
- Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
