Group General Manager, Support Services
Reporting to the CEO, the GGM Support Services (GGMSS) is an integral member of the executive leadership team with responsibility for leading three critical functions; Infrastructure Services, People & Culture, Health Safety & Wellbeing. The services offered by these teams are foundational to ensuring CFA is a great place to volunteer and work.
Leadership of the Infrastructure Services team includes Land, Building and Asset Management, Personal Protective Equipment, and Environmental Services. A strong focus for the team is maturing the Whole of Asset Life Plan and Capital Delivery Program. The GGMSS will ensure delivery of the board endorsed Health, Safety Injury Recovery and Wellbeing Strategy. The HSW division promotes a zero tolerance safety culture through strong governance, systems, processes and reporting. The People & Culture team delivers the full suite of HR services and is leading the Culture Review Implementation Plan; Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and Child Safety Action Plan.
We seek an established executive with demonstrated capacity to deliver corporate services functions of similar scale and complexity, preferably in an emergency services or volunteer-based organisation. You will bring a strong customer service approach, along with a compliance focus, that improves business processes and enabling systems to deliver good public administration outcomes. Humanistic and relationship based, you'll engage internal and external stakeholders and lead the Support Services team the majority of whom are located in Burwood head office with an expectation of regular travel to district and regional offices and to fire brigade events to engage with staff and volunteers. You will work closely with members of the CFA Board including as the executive sponsor of three Board sub-committees.
The successful applicant must also satisfy the National Police Records Check, Working With Children Checks and may be required to undergo pre-employment security checks.
