At Guzman y Gomez (GYG), we don't do boring. Our TikToks blow up, our Insta stories get shared, our style gets stolen (imitation is flattery, right?), and our content? It's the kind that makes people stop the scroll and double tap before they even realize what they're doing.
We're hunting for a Content Creator who's first and foremost a storyteller. Someone who lives and breathes social media, understands authenticity, and can turn a Tuesday afternoon burrito into that day’s most-watched video. But more than that - someone who gets that behind every great piece of content is an even greater story.
Here's the thing: GYG has endless stories that need to be told. From the founder’s journey to our restaurant crew's passion, from our clean food obsession to our community impact, from our mouthwatering new products to our stunning new restaurant locations - there's no shortage of narrative gold. We need someone who can uncover these stories, craft them into content that resonates, and share them in ways that make people feel something (usually hungry, but also inspired).
This is your chance to be the storyteller for one of Australia's loudest, proudest, and most obsessed-with-doing-things-differently brands. You’ll collaborate closely with our gun in-house Digital Marketing and Creative teams to create tons of scroll-stopping content that makes people fall in love with GYG.
**What You'll Be Doing**
**Story hunter and teller**: Uncover the incredible stories within GYG and share them - this means being out and about in our restaurants, events, sponsorships and everything else we do
**Bring the fire to social**: Create memorable content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, and whatever platform Gen Alpha is going to be on next
**Be our culture translator**: Turn GYG's bold personality and rich stories into posts, stories & reels - complete with the killer hooks and fast cuts that keep people watching.
**Content creation machine**: Shoot, edit, write, design - you're the Swiss Army knife of social content, equally comfortable being the face on camera or the director behind it, and capable of pumping out multiple pieces every day.
**Trend detective**: Spot what's about to blow up and figure out whether there is an authentic way for GYG to get involved, before it’s gone stale
**Understand Metrics in Minutes**:Find the sweet spot for every piece of content that runs on our channels. Whether that’s reach, video views, clicks and more, you’ll be able to determine if the content is fire or a flop. Track what's working, what's not, and ultimately - what drives sales.
**Campaign support**: Help bring our big campaigns to life on social, from new product launches to our legendary sock drops.
**Community vibes**: Engage with our followers like they're your besties (because they kind of are).
**Brand guardian**: Keep everything on-brand while pushing creative boundaries (it's a skill).

**Quick on your feet.** You're able to ideate, create and publish lots of content all on the fly
**Brand obsessed.** You get what makes GYG special and can translate that into pixels and videos.
**Hungry for more.** Not just for burritos (though that helps), but for growth, learning, and pushing boundaries.
**Team player.** Happy to jump in, travel, collaborate, source ideas from across the business, and make the whole crew look good

**Created content professionally** for 2+ years, whether agency-side, in-house, or freelance,
**Mastered the platforms** TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube....
**Edited video content** that people actually want to watch (phone editing counts, fancy software is a bonus).
**Written copy** that makes people stop scrolling and start engaging.
**Report on success** and show how you are achieving the KPIs set for content and campaigns.
**Worked with influencers** or know how that world operates.
