- Your new organisation
- This growing Government organisation has a need for an additional procurement advisor to join their support team. With a focus on providing procurement advice and support to multiple government organisations, this role is perfect for someone with previous experience in Government procurement who enjoys customer service, compliance and project implementation. Commencing immediately, this position is available as an initial 3-month temporary assignment with the likelihood of extension after that.
- Your new role
- Manage and/or provide advice on complex procurement, contract management and purchasing projects.
- Provide critical triage of procurement documentation, making recommendations to senior management and executive.
- Mentor and assist with the development of junior members within the team.
- Provide support across procurement education, governance, policy and the contract management system.
- Managing the research, development and implementation of practices and guidelines as required.
- Manage analysis, development and implementation activities to improve the practice of procurement.
- Provides input into State Government reviews, initiatives and inquiries.
- Ensure a collaborative consultative and consistent approach to implementation of practises associated with policy.
- Manages the development of reports, documents and presentations as required.
- Ensure that programs are appropriately established in accordance with policies.
- Contributes in providing a fair, safe and innovative workplace for employees.

What you’ll need to succeed- Previous experience in Government procurement
- The ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
