Magnus Health is currently seeking workers with Experience in Dementia and Mental Health Support to provide in-home care for NDIS participants who require daily support.

We are looking to put together a team who can work seamlessly to provide continuity of care for our participants.

We are ideally needing male support workers due to the needs of this participant but willing to work with females that have strong dementia experience.

Magnus Health deliver services for adults through the NDIS (disability support). We are a supportive and close-knit team of individuals with a shared goal of providing the best in-home support services for all our participants. **Key duties: The duties for this role include**:

- Assisting with personal care/showering
- Providing domestic assistance (house cleaning, washing, tidying up)
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Transporting participants to appointments and/or recreational activities

**Essential for the role**:

- **Dementia Experience**:

- Minimum of Certificate 3 in Disability / Mental Health/ Individual Support / Aged Care / Nursing / Health Services Assistant **Or** be a current Nursing student (should have completed Cert III equivalent placements)
- Experience in support work, nursing or personal care
- Valid work rights in Australia
- Current National Police Check (within 12 months validity), (or be prepared to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Current Blue Card/Yellow Card/ Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain one
- Australian driver's license

**Highly Desirable**
- Psychosocial Disability Experience with conditions such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bi-polar, BPD, Autism, Alzheimer's, Huntington's.
- Minimum Cert IV in Mental Health/individual support.
