Located in the heart of Melbourne, the Centre Against Sexual Assault [CASA House] is a department of the Royal Women's Hospital. CASA House works with people of all genders. CASA House provides 24-hour services to victim/survivors of sexual assault, including immediate crisis care, counselling, support and advocacy, after hour’s crisis response, support groups & support for non-offending family members and friends. CASA House also provides secondary consultation, education and training in addition to research and advocacy into public policy.

**Your contribution**
**Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following**:
- Provision of a service based on an intersectional feminist, rights advocacy, violence and trauma informed practice framework
- Provision of high-quality crisis care and follow up services for victim/survivors of sexual assault
- Participation in the after-hours roster to provide 24 hour immediate response to victim/survivors of recent sexual assault
- Participate in the duty and intake service assessing and enabling eligible people to access our service with ease
**About you**
**To be successful within this role you will need to have**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or other relevant health profession
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or other relevant professional body ( e.g. Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and/ or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia)
- Demonstrated crisis counselling experience and knowledge and skills in supporting survivors of sexual assault and violence
- Provision of a service based on an intersectional feminist, rights advocacy, violence and trauma informed practice framework
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), negotiation and advocacy skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a crisis practice context.

**COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement***
Please be aware that in line with the Health Minister's Covid-19 Mandatory Vaccination Order, all workers at the Women's regardless of role, will be required to be fully vaccinated (3 doses) for COVID-19 or hold an acceptable medical exemption.
**Influenza Vaccination Requirement**
In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required.
As this role fits into category A or B of the departments risk ratings, applicants will be required to have been vaccinated against influenza. Evidence of vaccination is required.
