**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Rail Industry Worker Card
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Driver’s License - C class
- Rail Industry Experience - at least 3 years
- Competent in working to current Sydney Trains and ARTC safe working standards
- Honest and punctual approach to works
- Safety minded in all works

Overall Responsibility

These positions will be required to watch over track and ensure safety of all on site on track with various companies including Martinus Rail.

Duties
- Ensuring that while representing Martinus Rail the highest standards in safety are exhibited at all times
- Undertake protection officer work at whatever project as required
- Complete daily timesheets to allow correct payment
- Ensure that all projects are completed in a safe manner and staff adhere to Martinus Rail, Sydney Trains and ARTC safety standards
- Ensure that correct Martinus Rail PPE is always worn for the various projects
- Maintain all clothing supplied and equipment and ensure they are clean and working at each shift
- Undertake any extra training and re-accreditation as required to perform the duties
- Maintain records of expiry dates on any qualifications and cards
- Assess risks, identify level of protection required; implement lookout working; implement controlled signal blocking (CSB), Act as a Lookout
- Implement a Track Occupancy Authority (TOA), arrange for track vehicles or work trains to enter the limits of a TOA, obtain the staff in token sections for a TOA, obtain the half pilot staff for a TOA.
- Implement a Local Possession Authority (LPA). arrange for work trains to enter the limits of a TOA or an LPA
- Implement a Track Work Authority (TWA), obtain an X, Y, Z key, act as the designated Protection Officer to coordinate the passage of rail traffic through multiple worksites, arrange protection for Type F level crossings when track circuits are affected.
- Submit completed timesheets daily

Safety On-Site
- Responsible for attending daily pre-start briefings before works commence
- Lead by example with safety compliance both on site and off
- Report ANY incidents or injuries immediately to the Construction Manager
- Adhere to MR safety procedures and endeavor to improve them during projects
- Ensure that on site you have the correct tickets on your person and have been inducted into the project
