**Job Description**:
The focus of an Insurance Representative - Sales (IR’s) is to sell our products to our prospect database. The IR will be making follow up calls to TAL customers responding to oneline enquires.
Considering the telephone selling in financial industry, position requires great listening skills, compliant selling and an extremely high attention to detail when dealing with TAL Direct customers when updating customer information on the TAL Direct database.
Focus and concentration are essential.
**Your main responsibilities**:
**Customer Interaction**
- Answer / Make calls in a professional and polite manner
- Respond to customer inquiries and questions
- Provide customers with accurate and detailed product and service information
- Enter customer information into systems accurately
- Follow up customer calls where applicable
- Complete summary notes within system of the interactions with customers
- Resolve the quires of customers through solid sales practise to build a larger solid customer base
**KPI’s**
- Reach set sales KPIs
- Convert outbound calls from future customers with regard to TAL Direct product/services offered.
- Perform call-backs & fulfilment follow ups for future customers and consult on TAL Direct product/services to close sales.
- Determine individual future customers’ needs and provide solutions aligned to that in order to close the sale and ensure customer experience and customer retention is maximized.
**Ethical Selling & Compliance**
- Maintain Database integrity
- Maintain brand integrity through phone conversations with customers/prospects
- Adhere to legislative and set compliance requirements
- Represent TAL Direct in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Customer experience to be at forefront of all interactions with customers and
- prospects and thus be the guiding principle when making decisions, recommendations and sales for customers
**Teamwork**
- Strive for a high level of performance at all times and aim for continual improvement
- Actively participate in all training and ongoing learning.
- Work closely and cooperatively with other team members in order to achieve project success and team targets.
**Qualifications**:
**Key Skills & Knowledge**
- The IR will be required to enter certain details into different databases and therefore be required to have excellent typing abilities and ability to work on different systems.
- Ability to deal with change
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to tailor information to suit individual requirements
- Creativity, flair and a sense of humour
- Team Player, ability to work well with others
- Solid PC skills - Data base savvy/confident
- Ability to build rapport and relate to a wide range of people
**Qualifications & Experience (Essential)**
- A strong background in sales and customer service
- Confident, engaging and a natural ability to communicate
**Qualifications & Experience (Desirable)**
- Call centre experience
- Outbound call selling environment
