About us
Funds in Court (FIC) is a self-funded division of the Supreme Court of Victoria, managing funds paid into Court, primarily for people under a legal disability. All funds are held, invested and administered by the Associate Judge of the Court who is the Senior Master. FIC serves over 6,300 beneficiaries and FIC reception answers over 3,000 telephone calls per month.
About the role
FIC is seeking a driven individual to lead and manage the Reception Team and the Payments In/Out Team, which together forms the Legal Administration Team, for a period of 6 months to cover staff leave.
Key to this role will be to contribute to the successful operation of the team by:
- Providing leadership and manage the day-to-day operations and administration of Reception and Payments In/Out teams effectively.
- Managing resourcing and staff performance including training and development.
- Encouraging open communication, inclusiveness and leading by example.
- Establishing and maintaining internal and external client relationships to support the achievement of goals.
- Managing the implementation of process improvements, projects and encouraging a service excellence ethos in the work unit.
- Providing regular reporting on governance, risk, security and administration within Legal Services.
About you
To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:
- Strong leadership, people management and team development skills with the ability to motivate staff to achieve team goals.
- Proven track record in client relationship management with the ability to build relationships across cross functional teams internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player.
- Excellent organisation, problem-solving and presentation skills.
