**About the role**

We are currently looking for a self-motivated and energetic Mine Planning Manager responsible for overseeing the mine planning and scheduling activities for Mineral Resources’s Iron Ore mining operations across both the tactical (2 - 5 yr) and strategic (Life-of-mine) horizons. Reporting to the General Manager Mine Planning - Iron Ore, your primary purpose will be to create value by:

- Overseeing the delivery of quality mine plans for budgeting, decision evaluation, and operational studies;
- Leading the operations budget process including input collection, inter-departmental collaboration and engagement, risk framing, and capital consolidation;
- Lead the continuous development and improvement of technical processes, quality of planning practice, and inter-departmental engagement;
- Drive forward looking assumption and data collection and refinement prioritisation across the broader business including resource drilling, environmental and heritage surveys, mining proposal development and operational licensing;
- Pursuing opportunities identified through your natural curiosity;
- Coaching and developing the technical and soft skills of your team;
- Ensuring your team’s plans are executed via the many relationships you will build.

Based in our brand-new, world leading Osborne Park office, you will have the opportunity to work across all of Mineral Resources Iron Ore projects from pre-feasibility, to operational readiness and approvals, to operating sites and into closure and rehabilitation.

We’re looking for someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and enjoys a challenging yet rewarding work environment. You will be responsible for;
- Overseeing the budget and reforecast process at the 2 year mine and supply chain planning horizon to deliver risk-informed plans.
- Oversee the Life-of-mine planning process including scenario analysis and knowledge development and contribution to directional and operational studies ensuring alignment to business objectives.
- Overseeing and continuing the development of the Reserve estimation and reporting process form the Iron Ore business.
- Liaising with stakeholders to mine plans across all horizons to inform scope of activities and prioritise these based on strategic and tactical outcomes.
- Oversee mining services scoping and tendering for both internal and external clients.
- Provide meaningful contribution to approvals, operations readiness, technology selection and implementation, and any other multi-disciplinary projects that require Mine Planning representation.
- Undertaking scenario and project analysis to support plan development and contribute to understanding and management of site value drivers.
- Leveraging your detailed knowledge of planning processes and practices to improve the processes relating to design, reconciliation, planning, risk identification and operating cost curation, development and error checking.
- Analysing and communicating fleet requirements to stakeholders in both the internal commodities and externally facing mining services businesses.
- Liaising with the site mining team and technical services team to ensure production and quality conforms with overall plan and strategy.
- Implementing and developing continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance and efficiencies.
- Leading a highly skilled team and facilitating their personal development and career progression.

**What you’ll bring to the team**
