**OFDS** is an Australian based NDIS Registered Provider actively supporting people living with a disability across Brisbane, Logan, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

**We are currently seeking Female Disability Support Workers for our clients across the Beenleigh area.**

**Ongoing shifts and stability on offer, with the opportunity to move to permanent employment for the right applicant after a few weeks.**

We are looking for reliable, committed and experienced disability support workers to join our team.

**Duties may include all aspects of assistance with daily living and personal care, including but not limited to**:

- Assistance with personal care, medication and preparation of meals
- Support to attend appointments and grocery shopping
- Work with challenging behaviours, PBSPs and care plans
- Domestic support and household tasks
- Support with assistive technology

**About the Role**:
On a day-to-day basis, you will:

- Support day-to-day living, ensuring maximum opportunity for developing independence and achieving goals.
- Provide opportunities for choice and control and participation in matters relating to the home, as well as facilitating access to community services as required.
- Carrying out and promote positive routines in a cooperative respectful and flexible manner, which are meaningful and purposeful to the participant
- Facilitate community inclusion and participation to establish and maintain relationships and interests through access to community activities, venues and services.
- Follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans and/or Care Plans.
- Work as part of a team and participate in team meetings and training.

**Mandatory Requirements include**:

- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent experience
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Screening Card (Yellow Card) or willing to obtain prior to commencement
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance

**Preferred but not essential**:

- Manual handling training
- Administration of medication training
- Industry experience, working with challenging behaviours, mental health, disability or other relevant experience will be highly regarded

**Salary**: $40.26 - $41.53 per hour

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Beenleigh, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid & CPR Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
