The role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Auditor within our Internal Audit Unit. Reporting to the Audit Manager, you will be responsible for conducting audits and reviews across operational, financial, compliance, technology or project activities for the department and provide input to reports and briefs on audit and departmental performance related issues. You will proactively monitor the implementation of internal audit recommendations against agreed implementation dates and provide departmental executives with advice on the status of recommendations to address audit findings.
The successful person
We are seeking a resourceful and proactive team member, who is keen to work in a high performing team. You have demonstrated ability to conduct internal audits and reviews and can draw accurate conclusions based on evidence, grouping findings accordingly. This will be supported by your knowledge of internal audit and accounting concepts, practices and standards relating to a public sector environment.
You will have highly developed interpersonal skills and will be a capable and concise communicator. With the ability to deliver information in a clear and succinct manner, you can effectively tailor your communication style to meet audience requirements, including high quality documents, briefs, and reports and in providing stakeholder advice on a range of audit matters.
