**We have an exciting opportunity for an After School Club Presenter (Leader) to join our dynamic, inclusive, small business.**

This is a temporary, term by term only position.

Working Hours: 6 week contract, Thursday 3.00pm - 4.20pm.

Pay is per session not per hour.

**The role**

This role would suit people with education classroom experience, university students, retired teachers or youth support workers, school leavers over the age of 18+ with an interest in education as a further career.

You will be running educational, hands on after school clubs for primary school aged students. Students will build a variety of exciting kits items such as torches, air rockets and balloon powered cars; mixing slime or working with circuits.

During the session, you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:

- Ensuring Duty of Care policies are adhered to.
- Marking the student role off and at the end of sessions. Alerting school staff before the session begins if students are absent. Head count students to check the role numbers are current during a session.
- Supervising the students at all times.
- Communicating effectively with students with lesson content and assisting students with the project build.
- Be in charge of classroom behaviour management & area.
- Confidently direct and support other Stem staff.

**About you**

**Must have**:

- Current Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate & Valid Visa.
- Excellent proficiency in English language.
- Good time management skills.
- The ability to adapt to quickly & manage a fast paced classroom environment.
- A can do, vibrant attitude with focus on supporting students and meeting Duty of Care standards.
- Be a supportive team member.
- Good dexterity to help students with small screws & parts.

**Job Type**:Temporary, Contract (Term 2)

**Salary**:$60.00 per session with a bonus incentive. Pay rate will be amended to $80 per session if you prepare, instruct, attend all sessions & act with professionalism towards all stakeholders. (School students & staff, parents/carers, Stem Tech staff.)

**About STEM TECH CLUB**

**STEM TECH CLUB** run before and after school clubs for primary school children. We are passionate about STEM and providing support to staff and students to create an inclusive class and work environment.

Stem Tech staff are able to build up their experience with different groups of children in education settings, but have the security of knowing that the sessions are pre-planned and all activities are tried and tested.

**Job Types**: Casual, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- working with Primary School children: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (preferred)
