**The role**

The Internal & Engagement Communications Manager is a senior member of the team, responsible for the development and delivery of varied corporate-wide communications. The role will deliver a strategic approach to employee communications aligned to the business purpose, values and employee value proposition.

This is a 12-month fixed-term role and will be based in our Toowong Head Office.

**Accountabilities**

Reporting to the General Manager - Employee Experience & Communications, you will:

- Successfully deliver A&G’s communication strategy by leading and executing communication campaigns and action plans, using best practice principles and frameworks.
- Design and implement engaging communications campaigns to achieve strategic business goals.
- Manage and actively manage corporate communication channels.
- Organise a range of events including town halls, leadership forums, product launches and social activities - demonstrating both cost leadership and creativity.
- Support in the rollout of a new digital workplace collaboration and communication tool as the primary channel for communications
- Oversee content creation and increase engagement with the corporate LinkedIn page and manage content on the corporate website.
- Create and edit specialised communications as required including crisis, partner and operational communications etc.
- Be a trusted resource for all divisions by building and maintaining excellent relationships with internal stakeholders. Partner with teams across the business, providing consultative communications support to achieve maximum value and impact.
- As part of the team, support and manage the Auto & General internal brand, governance, policies and guidelines to ensure effective and consistent corporate communications both internal and external to the business.

**Knowledge and experience**:

- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, business, media or human resources management with a minimum of five years’ experience.
- Experience in a corporate communications team on both strategic and operational internal and external communications.
- High level of skill in providing advice to deliver outcomes within a high performance with high integrity environment.
- The ability to write for various genres, audiences and publication types is a must.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work autonomously, prioritise and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and respect for confidentiality.
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary frameworks and methodologies to develop effective internal change communication strategies
- Extensive knowledge and experience with media relations activities and social media governance.
- Proven stakeholder engagement and partnering skills at all levels of the business.
- Highly developed IT skills including Google Suite, Campaign Monitor, LumApps, Slack.
