Bring your expertise in Category Management to a permanent position with a global leader in Travel Retail. You will be accountable for growing a broad and valuable category (covering Local Product) through a range of activities including category planning & ranging, pricing and promotions, management of supplier relationships and negotiation.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate broad thinking, experience working with cross functional teams and a highly developed set of skills required to drive category strategy.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Managing supplier relationships & taking part in negotiations
- Creating engaging value propositions for customers, based on insights and data
- Monitoring customer engagement in stores
- Working with stores to drive category success
- Managing to budgets and forecasts
- Inventory & purchasing plans to maintain positive cash flow
- Reporting of Category performance
- Playing an active role in promoting the culture of the business
**In order to be successful in this role you will need**:
- 3+ years experience in retail category management
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Industry knowledge in a similar category is highly advantageous
- Proven experience managing successful supplier relationships
- Superior oral and written skills
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
- Openness to business travel
You will enjoy juggling competing priorities, demonstrate a high level of initiative, have excellent time management and communication skills and confidence liaising with a varied audience.
We offer a hybrid working model offering 3 days in the office and 2 at home. We are also centrally located right next to Parliament station with a brand new office space
