Join Our Compassionate and Skilled Social Work Team at St George Hospital.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Level 3 Social Worker to join our dedicated team in a permanent full-time role working Tuesday to Saturday (with weekend penalty rates). This role is within the enhanced Neurological Rehabilitation unit, which includes the newly established Rehabilitation Cognitive Therapy Unit (RCTU) and is located in the modern Kensington Street Building at St George Hospital.

Key responsibilities include:

- Previous experience working in Brain Injury, facilitating Groups and navigating complex discharges involving NDIS is desirable.
- Providing advanced psychosocial assessment and intervention for patients admitted to hospital following an acute Neurological event.
- Supporting complex discharge planning, facilitating groups and case management with a keyworker model for RCTU patients.
- Collaborating closely with medical, nursing, allied health, and pastoral care teams to ensure integrated care delivery.
- Offering clinical supervision and mentoring to junior social work staff and students.

We are looking for a social worker who brings clinical expertise, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills, and who is passionate about advocating for vulnerable patients and supporting families through challenging health transitions.

Working Tuesday to Saturday alongside our Social Work Rehabilitation Team you will be supported with ongoing professional development, clinical supervision, and opportunities to contribute to innovative rehabilitation programs. Selection Criteria**
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and eligibility for membership of the AASW
- Extensive post graduate clinical experience in relevant specialty area with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels
- Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise your own and team work requirements effectively within agreed time frames
- Demonstrated experience in providing crisis interventions and the ability to participate in the After Hours Crisis On-Call Social Work Service.
