We are working with a large civil construction company who are seeking a skilled and experienced Trencher Operator to join their team.

As a Trencher Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, specifically trenching machines, to excavate trenches for various construction projects. This is a critical role that requires precision and attention to detail to ensure the safe and efficient completion of projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate large trencher machine and other heavy equipment to excavate trenches according to project specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment at all times.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction crews to understand project requirements and deadlines.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of trench excavation by adhering to project plans and specifications.
- Maintain records of daily operations, including equipment usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
- Follow best practices and industry standards for trenching and excavation to minimize environmental impact.
- Work collaboratively with the team to complete projects within designated timelines.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Trencher Operator in the civil construction industry - Valid RII required
- Construction white card
- In-depth knowledge of trenching machines and their operation.
- Familiarity with construction and excavation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in executing tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
