**What’s the role?**
- Produce online stories to cater for an early morning audience
- Provide breaking news coverage through the day
- Ensure stories are circulated on the website to promote return visitors throughout the day and week
- Promote stories on our Facebook and Twitter networks to drive traffic
- Edit videos and work to source videos, including from the community
- Moderate comments on stories to minimise legal risks
- Moderate comments on our Facebook site
- Promote 360 degree journalism by starting a conversation on Facebook and using the comments and results online and in print
- Foster community contributions to news, sport, entertainment and lifestyle stories
- Provide weekly ‘things to do’ event guides for locals
- Promote Coverage of local sports

**Who are you?**
- Previous reporting and digital newsroom experience
- An interest and knowledge of all things online
- Experience writing quality content to tight deadlines
- Able to produce engaging and snappy copy
- Strong interview skills and news judgement
- You will be required to work occasional weekends
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills and knowledge of an extensive range of topics
