Mount Barker District Council are currently interested in hearing from experienced and innovative asset management and asset planning professionals, preferably with experience in the water industry. Mount Barker is entering a period of significant investment to support the rapid growth in the region and will continue to deliver sustainable services to benefit the local economy, the community and the environment.

**The Opportunity**:
The Manager, Water Planning and Performance will work closely with the Head of Wastewater to ensure proactive planning for Wastewater Service infrastructure is undertaken, the investment portfolio is optimised and service commitments are met. You will lead implementation of the asset management maturity improvement initiative, enhancing KPI tracking and reporting. In addition, you will lead the development and update of strategy, corporate plan, long term financial plan, annual business plan and annual reports.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the planning and performance of wastewater services, ensuring strategic asset management and environmental sustainability.Drive structured capital investment decisions and portfolio optimization.Enhance asset data quality and manage risk within the water services sector.Collaborate across teams to develop and maintain water infrastructure plans and strategies.Development, monitoring and refinement of KPIs for the Wastewater Service.Continuous improvement program development and implementation to support alignment with the requirements of ISO55000.Annual review and update of the wastewater service 10 year Strategy, 5 year Corporate Plan, Annual Business Plan and 10 year Long Term Financial Plan.Development and maintenance of asset strategies and objectives.Development, review and maintenance of master plans for wastewater and recycled water infrastructure.
- Review and update of wastewater service asset management plan(s).

**What We're Looking For**:
Qualifications in Engineering or related degree and/or demonstrated experience in asset management, asset planning and capital planning.Water industry experience - highly desirableExperience in a leadership/managerial position - highly desirableExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and time management skills

The remuneration will be $116,375 to $122,641 plus superannuation.
