About the Role

We are seeking a rare leader who possesses both strategic and detail-oriented thinking to deliver excellence in the following principal areas:

Investment Prioritisation & Capital Allocation

A professional to lead the development and implementation of infrastructure investment prioritisation tools, frameworks, and strategies within the Integrated Planning Team. This role is critical in maximising capital deployment effectiveness and driving improvements relating to capital allocation over the short, medium and long-term.

Value Stream Integration & IPOS Management

To improve and sustain value stream clarity, connection and efficiency, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the Integrated Planning Operating System (IPOS) and for asset planning value stream integration and voice-of-customer mapping.

Asset Lifecycle Planning for OSI

This role is also responsible for asset lifecycle planning of Operational Services Infrastructure (e.g. accommodation, WHS, SCADA, security, major/minor plant) ensuring long-term sustainability and performance of key infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead a high-performance culture focused on value delivery, safety, continuous improvement, and leadership development through coaching, accountability, and team engagement.
- Drive enterprise-wide collaboration and change leadership by fostering strategic internal and external relationships that enhance integration and alignment.
- Develop and apply prioritisation frameworks to optimise capital deployment across investment scenarios, aligned with strategic objectives and supported by asset planning tools.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to support governance, decision-making, and alignment with corporate milestones and the Asset Owner Model.
- Strengthen upstream integration and customer focus by enhancing connections with information suppliers and defining Voice of Customer metrics.
- Support and improve planning systems such as the Integrated Planning Operating System (IPOS), ensuring efficiency, workload balance, and team wellbeing.
- Lead strategic asset management and investment planning by developing evidence-based business cases, managing asset programs, and maintaining comprehensive Asset Management Plans that balance performance, cost, and risk.

About the person

The ideal candidate is a strong and visible leader that can effectively drive performance at both strategic and detailed levels. An experienced asset management professional with a strong background in infrastructure planning, lifecycle optimisation, capital allocation frameworks and investment prioritisation methods. Additional requirements are:

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, Technology, or Mathematics, with post-graduate studies or similar in Asset Management, Business Administration, or Quantitative Analysis.
- Advanced analytical capability with proven experience using Power BI or similar tools, and working within Kanban, Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies.
- Exceptional communication skills, particularly in crafting clear, compelling reports for diverse audiences across all organisational levels.
- Strong leadership and coaching ability in dynamic, ambiguous environments, fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and team development.
- Commitment to safety and respectful workplace culture, consistently promoting positive behaviours and wellbeing.
- Deep technical knowledge of infrastructure assets across mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines, and modern risk management practices.
- Strategic influence and decision-making experience in asset-intensive environments, with exposure to cutting-edge Asset Investment Planning (AIP) and Value Stream Mapping software.
