**Your new company**

A well-known Federal Government Department is seeking 2 x APS6 Project Officers to join one of their sections that researches and leads policy and program responses to the impact of natural disasters on telecommunications due to an increase in work flow.

**Your new role**

You will be responsible for all the stages of a project’s life cycle and have duties such as managing resources, monitoring project execution, reporting to senior management, ensuring a continuous flow of information among the team and assigning tasks. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Assisting the team in the overall planning and coordination of the project.
- Collaborate with the team to gather, organise and document project requirements, decisions and action items.
- Providing administrative and organisational support to the Program Director and Project Manager.
- Providing research, analysis and input on issues relevant to project scope and implementation.
- Supporting stakeholder engagement with key agencies, the telecommunications industry, State and Territory Governments and emergency services organisations.
- Assisting with the preparation of strategic advice and briefings for the Minister and senior executive including meeting and ministerial briefs, submissions and preparations.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful for these positions you will have previous experience within a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have strong organisation and project management skills, the ability to manage complexity and delivery quality outcomes, the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships, excellent communication skills both written and verbally, strong stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement and research and analysis skills including the ability to get across new content quickly.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
