**Job Description**:
As a Regulatory Adviser, you will be responsible for coordinating TAL regulatory responses and liaising with regulators. Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Governance, you will work with the TAL Legal and Risk teams on investigations, proposed changes in legislation and helping to implement changes across the business.
This is a permanent role, working flexibly from our Sydney office.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate TAL’s responses to regulatory requests and ensure responses are produced in the appropriate timeframe and in accordance with established governance processes
- Work with Legal, Risk and TAL businesses to develop and continually refine policies and procedures in respect of regulatory responses
- Liaise with ASIC, APRA, LCCC and the FSC on data requests
- Coordinate TAL responses to ASIC industry investigations, ensuring the business is fully briefed on requests and can respond within the allocated timeframe
- Work with key stakeholders to draft ASIC communications
- Follow up on TAL commitments to regulators and briefing key TAL personnel on issues and outcomes
- Support the Head of Regulatory Governance in all responses including coordinating all business feedback and appropriate sign-offs
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualification in business, legal, risk management or a related field
- Experience working in a regulatory role, within financial services
- Understand the regulatory landscape, financial services laws and regulator roles and responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong influencing capability
- Project management skills
