
Clinical Assistant

A full-time permanent opportunity exists for a Clinical Assistant to join our friendly and collaborative team. Based in between our sites in Werribee and the John Fawkner Hospital in Coburg, this role will involve working between the two sites and will require flexibility to travel.
You will be providing assistance to hospital patients attending for medical imaging procedures, from Monday - Friday between 8am - 5pm.
**Key accountabilities include**:
- Perform and assist with patient movement in the Medical Imaging service area, and the hospital when clinically required
- Assist with general clinic tasks and other patients of the department in any manner as directed by technical/clerical/medical staff
- Ensure Workplace Health and Safety legislation is complied with
- Providing excellent customer service and patient care
- Maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers
**What we're looking for**:
- Basic ability to handle patient care with compassion and tact, ensuring the patients privacy, dignity and confidentiality is maintained
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact amiably and effectively with both the public and colleagues
- Ability to function effectively as part of a diagnostic health team
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to meet relevant VIC Health workplace requirements, including Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases
