**The Role**
In the AIR6500 Series Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) Program, APS6 Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) professionals work within ILS Teams to develop and further Integrated Support System (ISS)/ILS options and solutions to the specified scope, schedule and budget. ILS team members are responsible for ensuring the Support System Constituent Capability (SSCC) elements and other support requirements for the in-service phase are identified and available to sustain the capability system.

AIR6500 Series ILS professionals are employed across a broad range of roles, including Program ILS team interface activities with project Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) and project ILS teams, management of technical data, Life Cycle Costing, Governance and Assurance, developing plans and procedures, development and management of delivery agreements, management of Government Furnished Materiel, ILS engineering and maintenance functions, and product transition.

Assignment to specific subsets (or combinations) of work may be necessary, but with flexibility to complete tasks across the spectrum of ILS tasks. ILS team members also articulate to EL1 ILS Managers and other senior staff, any support elements or deliverables requiring acute management, engaging in cyclic reporting and risk identification and treatment.

**About our Team**
- Under EL1 direction, plan, manage and support Integrated Support System (ISS) activities to enable the Project-specific ISS/Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) outcomes within the broader Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC), to support AIR6500 Series Projects.
- Support the EL1 Program System of Systems (SoS) Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager by executing ISS/ILS activities that support project and Program deliverables.
- Provide ILS support to AIR6500 Series projects throughout the Capability Life Cycle. Subsets of specialist work will include contributions to combinations of the following work areas either as discrete workload or support to specialist staff (as defined by individual position descriptions and as required through dynamic workload assignment):

- SoS Life Cycle Costing (LCC)
- Materiel Logistics Governance & Assurance
- ILS Planning and Process development
- Acquisition Support to Projects
- Agency Agreements
- Program ILS team interface activities with project Integrated Project Teams
- Government Furnished Materiel (GFM or GFx [‘x’ denoting various subordinate furnished item types]) Management
- Technical Data Management
- ILS Engineering and Maintenance Functions, and
- Product Transition support
- Participate in Project/ Program progress reviews with AIR6500 Series PDO and Program Leads.
- Represent CASG on ILS-specific, and other, meetings and reviews with industry, as required.
- Support ILS team leadership in carrying out strategic, operational and tactical tasks, knowledge transfer and participate in ISS/ILS Training, Coaching and Mentoring.
- Support the development, delivery and implementation of ISS/ILS strategies, plans and artefacts including but not limited to Support Concept, Logistics Support Strategies, Integrated Logistics Support Plans, ILS Instructions, and Transition Plans.
- Support the analysis and interpretation of Program, Project and Functional ILS risks through the Risk Register and official reporting.
- Deliver Support System Constituent Capability (SSCC) elements and other support requirements for AIR6500 projects IAW scheduled milestones.
- Contribute and adhere to the ISS/ILS Schedule, and negotiate and adjust schedule with Project schedulers as needed to meet scheduled milestones.
- Effectively coordinate, communicate and collaborate with the ILS Team, FIC Coordination & Integration (FIC C&I) Team, Project and Program Management Teams and Senior Leadership.
- Assist with complex/international procurement activities, and international and domestic import/export arrangements through Defence export controls specialist agencies.
- Develop, nurture and effectively manage stakeholder relationships with the Capability Manager (Air Force Headquarters), Air Force customer units, other Defence Organisations and industry.
