**The Firm**

The Brokerage is a long established commercial and residential brokerage firm with offices in Sydney and Brisbane. We negotiate mortgages on property assets for investors and owner occupiers, through to arranging project funding for property developers.

Our team of professional brokers work in partnership with property clients to deliver optimal financial solutions. Over the years we’ve built strong, long-term relationships with bank, non-bank and private funders.

We have a new position for an enthusiastic Lending Associate to join our Sydney team, managing residential property loans.

**You**

You will be a graduate or final year university student with a solid interest in finance and property. Degree qualifications in business, commerce, land economics, or finance will be an advantage. Alternatively, you may be a junior banking associate with 1-2 years’ experience who is seeking a more hands-on role where you can cut through and be a direct, integral part of clients’ success stories. We are also interested to hear from applicants who have a sales or retail background, strong attention to detail and excellent mathematics but may not have pursued university studies.

With a focus on building long term, professional relationships, you will enjoy networking and have an interest in building your sales flair. You will thrive on interacting with people and have a great sense of humour. You will show integrity, build and earn trust, and have an innate desire to follow a deal through to completion.

You will need advanced Microsoft Excel skills along with the usual Office 365 suite and of course, exceptional mathematical skills.

**The Role**

This role is open to graduates pursuing a full time role (40 hours) or final year students seeking a permanent part time position (approx. 30-32 hours) leading to full time upon graduation. This is the ultimate foot in the door opportunity for a rewarding career in the thriving residential property sector.

Providing responsive, efficient service to clients, showing an interest in sales and supporting the residential brokerage team is central to this position.

**Your First Quarter objectives will include:

- Familiarising yourself with The Brokerage’s processes
- Identifying all internal and external customers, establishing strong, dependable connections
- CRM data entry, updating client details, contact numbers, loan expiry dates
- Meeting key lending partners and consultants
- Providing accurate reliable support to the residential team

This is a long term, secure role in a buoyant market. We have a combined 60 years of experience in our Sydney and Brisbane directorship team combined. You will work directly with our senior specialists as you carve out your pathway in this thriving industry.

Your commitment to learning about the residential property finance industry will be rewarded with ongoing mentorship and professional development. Your unrestricted pathway to becoming a Residential Broker starts from Day 1.

You will learn about company and industry research, financial modelling and analysis. As you grow and develop, you will conduct risk analyses on borrowers and assist with credit submissions. You’ll be exposed to negotiations and origination processes through to the settlement of loan transactions.

Further education including a Diploma of Mortgage Broking is supported.
