**About the Role**

With a strong presence across the ANZ market, our client is a genuine leader in their industry sector.

As the UX/UI Design Manager, you will join the Digital & Customer Experience Team. The team is responsible for digital product strategy and development and overlooking the operation of all digital experiences. The team works across our branded websites, customer service portal and social channels.

The team is also charged with the creative liberty to enhance and innovate the digital assets and experiences within the investment roadmap to create and maximise business value while also creating a seamless experience for our customers.

The UX/UI Design Manager
- will lead customer centric product design team UX and UI helping to deliver empathetic and seamless experiences for our client families.

**Key Responsibilities**
- You have demonstrable experience of leading customer-facing product design teams and a deep understanding of all disciplines across UX and UI design. You’ll excel at inspiring others to carry forward and execute a strategy without needing to be in the room.
- Plan and lead a range of experience design engagements from initial phases of research and discovery through to design execution, iteration and implementation
- Facilitate workshops and co-design activities to help project teams explore problem/solution spaces and define both customer and business needs
- Use a variety of prototyping and design exploration techniques to test new product or service concepts
- Lead the creation of usability tests, analysing results and providing design recommendations
- Recognise the importance of how data and analytics can inform design solutions
- Present to stakeholders and walk them through the experience design solution and our UX design process
- Play an important role in our experience design team, refining and evolving our UX design process, staying up-to-date on the latest design and technology trends
- Lead design system governance and change management processes, enabling open contribution, clear communication and ensuring quality and efficiency are optimised
- Lead the creation of complex experience design solutions from user flows and UX concepts to detailed wireframes
- Hands on practical UX design required in this role
- Work with the Project Manager to ensure that the design effort is on track and within the specified timeline
- Work collaboratively with all disciplines throughout the entire lifecycle process to guarantee a holistic and seamless delivery
- Be a mentor to 2 junior designers, providing guidance and professional development direction.
- 3+ years performing at a Senior or Lead UX Designer level
- Experience leading small teams of UX and UI
- Expertise in experience design processes and methodologies
- Expertise planning and executing qualitative and quantitative research
- Experience with usability testing and other unmoderated testing tools
- Knowledge of contemporary design and development methodologies
- Proficiency in design and prototyping in Figma
- Deep knowledge of design principles for Web solutions
- Client-facing skills including the ability to present to clients at all levels; ability to tell the story and guide them through the design ideas and recommendations to provide an overall design solution
- Passionate about solving complex problems and leading a small team of designers through the lifecycle of a project
- Experience working in a true agile environment.
