**The Role**
The Procurement and Contract officer is responsible for supporting the management, administration and governance of the Procurement and Contract Management functions, including supporting fellow team members across TF:

- Provide support in managing the TFCCs’ strategic planning, integration and consistency across procurement and contracting functions/activities within TF and Defence more broadly as appropriate.
- Providing advice and support to procurement planning, tendering and contract formation, and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures.
- Provide guidance, advice and services during the procurement lifecycle on contracting activities including coordination of legal and financial services.
- Draft and review contracting correspondence including complex, commercially sensitive reports, submissions, contract change proposals and other documents as required.
- Analyse risks and support mitigation strategies for the risks associated with procurement and contracting activities, contract performance and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
- Build, sustain and encourage productive relationships with team members and actively participate in team work, and group activities.
- Support the Deputy Director in managing a dispersed team, including providing clear and consistent communication, guiding and achieving team and individual performance expectations, including upholding behavioural standards, and provide guidance and support for the development of fellow staff and the team overall.
- Take the initiative to seek and act on feedback from supervisor to confirm agreed performance.

**About our Team**
Reporting to the Deputy Director (EL1), Contract and Procurement Manager of the TFCC, the team will also consist of an APS 5 Contract and Procurement Administrator, and several APS6 Contract Managers who are geographically dispersed in primary locations within Training Centres, supporting the optimisation and centralisation of the contract and procurement management function.

You will need to be adept in relationship management, with good interpersonal skills, including negotiation, communication and influencing, with an agile approach to managing competing priorities and the ability to remain focussed on delivering outcomes working with a diverse and dispersed workforce.
