You’ll get paid to travel and gain invaluable life and work experience, while making friendships that could last a lifetime.
One you complete your initial military training, you’ll grow your skills and expertise in one of the following roles**:
- Driver** where you’ll get behind the wheels of an exciting variety of high performing military vehicles, from a Mercedes Benz G-Wagon to a 110-tonne heavy equipment transporter designed to carry cargo like tanks, or
- **Administration Assistant** where you’ll learn to be an administration, communication and resource management specialist supporting your commanders and colleagues in barracks and on exercises, or
- **Warehouse Coordinator** where you’ll take on a critical warehouse management and logistics role, acquiring valuable supply chain skills and distribute state-of-the-art military equipment that most people don’t get to see.
**Life in the Army Gap Year Program**:
Action, adventure, exciting career opportunities and amazing mateship - the Army Gap Year Program is a one-year commitment that takes you out of the office and into barracks, training exercises and the field itself.
There’s also the unique sense of accomplishment and pride that comes from serving your country and providing support to communities in need, both here and overseas. Whether you decide to extend into a longer-term role in the Army, or not, you’ll get the chance to see if it’s a good fit for you.
Along with the highly purposeful work, you’ll be working in a supportive environment alongside highly skilled professionals to help guide you throughout the whole program.
