**Your Role**

If you’re looking for new challenges and adventure outside the everyday, then the Army Reserve has an exciting opportunity for you.

In a part-time combat and security role, you’ll be in the thick of the action. You’ll get paid to train with advanced military equipment and weaponry and learn combat tactics while keeping fit and working as part of a close-knit team.

You could be driving formidable armoured and combat reconnaissance vehicles as an Armoured Vehicle Crew member or handling advanced weaponry and learning survival tactics as an Infantry Soldier. You could also work assisting in the construction of temporary roads, bypasses and fords as a Combat Engineer.

**Boost your Income**

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience.

On completion of your initial military and employment training, you could earn at least $209/day tax-free.

Additional amounts are paid for time spent on exercises and deployments.

**Location**

You will train for 3 weeks in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Following your training, you will be posted to an Army unit close to where you live.

**Eligibility**:
For this role, you must:

- Be at least 17 years of age when you enter the ADF
- Have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics
- Be an Australian citizen. If you are not an Australian Citizen you may still be eligible to join the ADF if you meet certain criteria, please visit the ADF Careers Eligibility Page for more details
- Be reasonably fit and healthy. Keeping fit is a big part of joining the ADF. You’ll need to pass a physical fitness test before you join, but don’t worry, we'll give you tips to help you prepare
- Be able to successfully obtain a security clearance
