The team
We are undertaking major technology projects that will transform our business and continue our significant technology transformation in a number of areas such as virtualisation, mobility and cloud. We make use of the latest technology with an increasing focus on data sharing and analytics which will make ASIC a 'best in class' regulator supporting the Australian financial markets.

The role

**You will be responsible for**:

- Solution Architecture for Regulatory and Integration
- Defining the future-state architectures within the domain
- Leading a team of permanent and contract solution architects to define pragmatic future-focused solutions
- Developing proposals and business cases and financial management of the Solution Architecture Cost Centre
- Managing and coaching teams (designers, other architects and developers) towards achieving whole of ASIC outcomes
- Producing solution designs and associated functional specifications
- Peer reviews of Solution Architecture and designs
- Implementing operational solutions based on the EA target reference architecture and IT's Technology Principles
- Scoping and designing the overarching solution design in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts, Project Managers and Enterprise Architects.
- Liaising with customer facing groups as needed to understand client and customer needs in a rapidly evolving environment
- Ensuring that the IT solution will satisfy the business needs in a cost effective, resilient and operable fashion and ensuring that chosen architectural solutions are scalable
- Ensuring that chosen architectural solutions are convergent and ensuring the quality of technical solutions developed by other Solution Designers
- Documenting deployment infrastructure, assisting in the development and implementation of migration plans

About you
- TOGAF certification desirable
- ArchiMate certification desirable
- Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, computer science or related discipline
- Deep experience in a similar Senior Solution Architect role.
- Experience in managing a team of highly skilled and experience technology professionals.
- Extensive experience in producing solution designs and associated functional specifications
- Extensive experience in implementing operational solutions based on the enterprise target reference architecture enterprise principles
- Deep experience in a Senior Solutions Architecture / Senior Solution Design position one or more of the following: Integration, CRM case management, workflow, portals, digitization, reporting and data analytics
- Experience in ASIC's Application Architecture (Boomi, MS CRM,.NET, SQL Server & SharePoint) and multi-cloud strategy (Office 365, Azure & AWS). Some experience in ASIC's Legacy architecture desirable (Adabas / Natural Mainframe, Lotus Notes, Siebel, Oracle Service Bus).
- Experience in Agile / Scrum methods and approaches.
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills
- Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills to establish and develop effective client relationships
- Works well with Enterprise Architecture, Design and Analysis, Service Delivery and Project teams
- Shows resilience, pursuing challenging situations with drive so as to achieve specified goals
- Problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills for investigating and resolving stakeholder, client or system concerns, and for improving work practices and processes
- Issue ownership through to resolution.
