The River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project is the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, and will complete 78km of non-stop, traffic light-free motorway between Gawler and Old Noarlunga. The T2D Project will deliver a wide range of social, economic, environmental and safety benefits, not only for Adelaide, but for all of South Australia.

**The Opportunity**
The Manager, Commercial is accountable to the Director, T2D Contract Management, for providing leadership and commercial and contract management expertise to ensure best practice management and the successful development of commercial and contract management services for the North-South Corridor Program Delivery Office.

The role is responsible for providing high level, specialist commercial and contract management advice and review and is the point of escalation for complex matters (e.g. Adjustment Events, Cost Assurance, Procurement Strategy and Benchmarking) for the North-South Corridor Program Delivery Office.

**Qualifications/Experience**
A relevant tertiary qualification in economics, finance, commerce, accounting, business, management, engineering, construction, law or a related field will be highly regarded.

A current driver’s licence is essential.

The following are the technical capabilities required for the role:

- Extensive experience and high levels of commercial acumen demonstrated though a strong understanding of commercial, financial, policy and related issues associated with the delivery of major road projects within a complex infrastructure environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the commercial models and delivery methodologies appropriate for major infrastructure projects, preferably with experience in reimbursable cost models (e.g. Alliance or ITC contracts).
- Extensive experience in interpreting construction related contract clauses.

**Special Conditions**
A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.

Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

Temporary appointment up to 3 years
