I am seeking a community safety officer to join my client on a permanent basis
Your new company
Situated a stone's throw away from the heart of Melbourne, this busy and well-known Local Council is home to various amenities such as cafes, restaurants and sporting facilities. They take pride in encouraging it's local community to take responsibility and comply with the Local Laws within the municipality.

Your new role
As an experienced Local Laws Officer your duties on a daily basis will include regular patrols of the municipality enforcing regulatory matters in accordance with relevant Acts, Regulations and Council policies;
- reactive and proactive patrols
- report instances of overhanging vegetation, hard rubbish, abandoned vehicles, etc
- litter enforcement
- Animal management - collections and drop offs
- Helping assist in the pound
- and other general local laws duties.

What you'll need to succeed

You will possess outstanding communication skills as well as the ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced working environment. As this is initially a temporary role, it is essential that you would have worked for a Local Council in a Local Laws role.

Desirable: 2+ years experience in animal compliance or have completed a Cert IV in Animal Management and Regulations or Local Government (animal management) or equivalent.
