About us
The Corporate Governance and Support group supports the whole of the department to deliver positive outcomes for the community through responsive, reliable, and efficient corporate services. Our focus is on providing services that add value and are adaptable to business needs, while maintaining high standards and compliance.
The DPFC is a 568 bed medium to maximum-security facility for female offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice.
The DPFC is dedicated to supporting prisoners with mental health, cognitive impairment, physical disabilities and complex needs.
About the role
At the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC), each Justice Officer role specialises in one of four streams - Records/Property, Human Resources, Finance/Stores/Canteen and Administration.
Over time, and with appropriate support and training, Justice Officers may be rotated between these streams to provide career enhancement opportunities to those staff, and operational flexibility to the prison.
- Well-developed computer literacy skills.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
- Cooperate and works well with others in pursuit of team goals; share information and acknowledge others' efforts.
- The ability to present oneself in a polite, professional and considerate manner when dealing with others. Also, aware of moods and temperament of others and expresses own views in a constructive and diplomatic way. In addition, reflects on how own emotions impact on others.
- Ability to understand customer requirements, how work addresses customer needs, identify opportunities to improve services and committed to delivering high quality outcomes for clients.
