Shield Insurance Brokers now have a fantastic opportunity available for an enthusiastic Assistant Broker to join their supportive team

You could be a recent school leaver wanting to fast-track your career, or an experienced Assistant Broker looking to build upon your knowledge.

**About the Opportunity**

On a day-to-day basis, this role is responsible for providing outstanding service to our clients and supporting our dynamic team of brokers. As an Assistant Broker you will be responsible for:

- New business quotations
- Policy renewals
- Processing policies
- Liaising, negotiating and developing relationships with clients and underwriters
- Assisting clients and underwriters with all inquires
- Providing clients with guidance throughout the full claims process
- General administrative tasks

**About You**

You will have previous experience in an Assistant Broker role, or you may be looking for an entry-level position in the insurance industry. Your professional goals include a successful career as an insurance broker.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:

- Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Great customer service and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Previous knowledge and understanding of insurance industry packages is desired but not essential

General Insurance Broking studies will be required, to a minimum of Tier 1 (paid training provided if not already complete).
