**Strategic Impact Fund (SIF)** **is a $250 million fund that invests into opportunities that scale and accelerate the impact goals of the Foundation. This approach is catalytic by design, with a desire to promote private sector innovation, encourage market-driven efficiencies, and attract external capital to further support our philanthropic activities.

**About the role**

As a SIF Portfolio Manager you will play a strategic role in curating and managing a diverse portfolio of impact investments that accelerate the Foundation’s impact goals. This role specifically supports our environmental portfolio, including our work on Flourishing Oceans, No Plastic Waste and Fire and Flood.

Reporting to the Head of Impact Investing, and supported by an Investment Associate, you will play a critical role in evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting portfolio companies to deliver on their impact and financial goals. You will work collaboratively with Minderoo Foundation teams to identify strategic opportunities and lead detailed due diligence to develop investment theses for IC consideration.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Working closely with Minderoo Foundation teams to identify ways the SIF can enhance the impact outcomes of their philanthropic activities.
- Proactively originate investment opportunities aligned with Minderoo’s Planet (i.e. environmental) portfolio
- Evaluating opportunities for investment attractiveness against impact, financial and strategic criteria.
- Leading SIF Associates and Foundation teams to conduct thorough financial, impact, and strategic due diligence
- Develop and presenting investment theses to IC for decision.
- Building strategic relationships to originate a pipeline of investment opportunities aligned to Foundation’s environmental goals.

**Qualifications**:
You will have strong commercial acumen and significant investment experience, evidenced by experience in a top-tier investment bank or PE/VC. You will also have:

- A passion for using investment to make a difference on social and environmental issues.
- Experience investing in environmental organisations, such as recycling infrastructure or technology, blue economy, or innovative models for sustainable environmental funding.
- Driven, self-starter with a passion for impact, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
- Capable of working in high pressure environment, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Positive team player with an ability to build relationships across the organisation of varying functions and levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
