**Subcontracts Specalist** to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. As part of our Fuels & Engineering portfolio, the PEM&AM is an established and growing team that aims to become the market leader and provider of choice for niche brownfields Asset Management and Project Delivery in the Terminals space.
As we continue to deliver & evolve, we are looking for an experienced Subcontracts/Procurement experts to join our team.

**About the role**

As a valued member of the Team, the role will work with project and maintenance delivery and tender teams to develop and implement robust procurement management plans, support category management frameworks and develop strategic sourcing approaches as well as negotiate best practice subcontracts. You will also identify and manage subcontracting risks and opportunities and collaborate with the project and commercial teams to support the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects for UGL and its clients.

The role demands astute subcontract commercial negotiation with vendors, subcontract risk appraisal and soft skills to manage vendor performance.

**About you**
- Relevant degree or qualifications in law, business, engineering, quantity surveying, supply chain, procurement or project management
- Sound experience in complex subcontracting and procurement environments
- Sound experience and knowledge of subcontracting commercial instruments, their terms and their negotiation
- Aware of market influences and how to strategically respond when subcontracting e.g. macro-economic, social and geopolitical risk
- Must be customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven
- Help drive continuous improvement across the Subcontracting & broader team
