The Role
This is a Line 2 Regulatory Affairs Manager position reporting directly into the Head of Group Compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide assurance to the boards, committees, and senior executives that the interests of customers are being appropriately considered in regulatory requirements decision making, reporting, and monitoring across the Group.
- Provide assurance to the boards, committees, and senior executives that the interests of customers are appropriately considered in the regulatory requirements management of all lines of business.
- Engage with, advocate for, and support other Group functions, teams, and employees in regulatory affairs operations across the Group.
- Support engagement with industry bodies, regulators, and government personnel to support working relationships that support objectives.
- Influence Group-wide practices for regulatory affairs considerations.
- Maintain comprehensive whole of organisation records of regulatory engagement and correspondence.
- Provide expert analysis and advice on the proposed material for financial services regulatory reform.
- Manage stakeholders to regulatory response timelines and deliverable quality consistent with good regulatory relations.
- Identify budget requirements in line with outcomes in the Regulatory affairs strategies and manage assigned budget to deliver these outcomes.
- Support board and committee reporting as required.
- Provide input into APRA and ASIC reporting as required.
About you
- Regulatory affairs experience within Banking or Insurance
- Legal background preferred but not essential
- Stakeholder management experience
- Ability to contribute to a positive risk and compliance culture
