**Quality Control Officer - Full Time**

iPastai was born out of love and passion for Italian tradition. Our vision is to bring the taste of Italy to families in Australia from the first bite. We manufacture a range of fresh pastas, sauces and meals that are supplied to retailers and other customers nationwide.

**About the Opportunity**

Working alongside the QA Manager and Head Chef, you will be a core team member in our business. We are looking for someone who has a desire to learn, who shows initiative and who is passionate about creating high quality pasta products for families around the country.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities;**
- Conduct daily CCP and QCP checks
- Monitor and verify production records
- Conduct shelf life validation of new and existing products
- Assist with food safety program development and training of staff
- Assist to implement our Food Safety and Quality Management System
- Conduct GMP checks
- Drive continuous improvement
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions to respond to customer complaints, internal non-conformances and supplier non-conformances
- Participate in the HACCP team, internal and external audits

**Required skills**:

- Degree qualification in Food Science and Technology or similar science
- Proficient with Microsoft office programs
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Effective and proactive communicator who can work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and accountable
- Previous work experience in a food manufacturing environment is advantageous but if you are a recent graduate with a strong work ethic, you will also be highly considered
