The City’s Parks team is looking for a General Hand to assist in maintaining its magnificent parks and reserves. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, and have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Our Parks team boasts well maintained and modern equipment, valuing safety as integral to its success. Applicants will be required to demonstrate a commitment to safe work practices in all daily duties.

Your role will see you undertaking mowing duties, use of whipper snipper, general gardening, weed spraying and pruning.

Other requirements of the position include:

- Experience in landscape maintenance including turf management
- Experience using mowing and other equipment
- MR Licence (or willing to obtain learners permit within 3 months)
- Chainsaw operation ticket or willing to obtain
- Excellent customer service skills

**Hourly rate**: $32.03 - $32.45 per hour, depending on level of experience and qualifications.

**Hours**: 6.45 am - 4.00 pm (includes 15 mins daily overtime paid at time and a half)
