This position is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for safety and high customer service.

The position is responsible for undertaking scheduled maintenance of the City of Cockburn Parks and Reserve assets (this includes but is not limited to turf management, general gardening, weed spraying, planting and pruning.

The incumbent will join a small team, dedicated to providing high-quality outputs for the City and its community. The successful applicant will have:

- Formal Turf/Horticultural qualifications and/or demonstrated significant experience in turf maintenance practices.
- Demonstrated significant experience in Turf & Horticultural maintenance practices.
- MR Truck License.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, give direction, provide guidance and interact with team members.
- Demonstrated experience in the safe operation and user maintenance of mechanical plant and hand tools.
- Developed oral and written communications skills to maintain records and provide information to other employee’s, supervisors and members of the public.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely and show understanding of OS&H practices as they relate to the workplace.

**Salary**: $32.73 - $33.30 per hour plus leading hand allowance

**Hours**: 38 hours per week - 6.45 am - 4.00 pm (includes 15 mins daily overtime paid at time and a half)
