THE KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE ARE:
The incumbent works in collaboration with the plant management team to address and solve quality issues as needed. The incumbent must also ensure compliance with corporate quality policies and business objectives to ensure the manufacture of products with superior value. The role reports to the Quality Manager.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE ARE:
Product Quality
- Ensure that all incoming raw materials to be used are tested on time and passes all

company requirements.
- Follow guidelines for non-conforming materials.
- Provide immediate feedback for raw materials acceptance.
- To ensure compliance of proper run guides by operators by timely regular monitoring.
- Guarantee that systems and procedures are in place to maintain quality of all out-going

finished products within specifications.
- Complete paperwork for each series and issue Permission to Process.
- Additional adhoc duties as requested

Quality Systems
- Ensure that all measuring instruments used in the manufacture of fibre cement products are calibrated/validated according to planned schedule to prevent inaccurate testing results.
- Make certain that Quality related documents and records are reviewed, updated, approved for adequacy, properly identified, and properly controlled.
- Ensure continuing suitability and effectiveness of the quality management system by

conducting periodic review and assessment, and formulating strategies for improvement.

Plant Quality Audits
- Ensure that the business operation conforms to the QMS by conducting periodic assessment and provides input to review, correction and/or improvement.

Timely Corrective and Preventive Actions
- Make sure that corrective and preventive actions are done within a specified period to

correct non conformities.
- Appropriate and timely corrective and preventive actions to customer feedback and

complaints.

Zero Harm
- Work in alignment with the James Hardie Zero Harm pledge and workplace safety

requirements
- Report any incidents, hazards, near misses or “at-risk” behaviours
- Take ownership through participating in health and safety initiatives / activities and training
- Acting as a Safety Leader at all times and ensuring yourself and others perform their work

safely
- Responding to any hazard or incident that is raised with you and providing or seeking the

support required to respond to the identified workplace issue

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THESE:
1. SKILLS
- Capability and willingness to align with the company’s leadership behaviours and work

effectively with others to achieve the company’s mission.

- Able to clearly express ideas in logical and chronological manner
- Can utilize root cause analysis and problem-solving tools and techniques in solving quality

related problems
- Familiar in running the laboratory, including identification, usage, and calibration of

necessary instruments

2. KNOWLEDGE
- Preferably Science/ Engineering graduate (Chemical Science or equivalent)
- Preferably with background on fiber cement process or manufacturing set up

3. EXPERIENCE
- A couple of years in a similar role and environment

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $33.00 - $43.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
