If you are confident you can efficiently manage a couple of teams of sign installers (including answering technical questions), source new jobs to keep the place running, maintain relationships with existing customers and create an energised, vibrant place for people to work, this is the job for you.

Based out of Tullamarine, you’ll generally be working a 40-45 hour week, but if your guys are out on site, you need to be available. If you want to switch the phone off at 5pm and not look at it again until 7am, this is probably not the job for you.

Projects can be as simple as organising a team to put vinyl decals on a shopfront, through to full fuel station fitout through to large-scale building signage and individually lettered signs. You will need to have the capacity to look at a job and start thinking immediately about the various parts you will need to bring together to get it done.

You should know how to read a profit and loss statement and identify areas of improvement - head office is in Brisbane and they will be looking at the financials to get an idea of how the state is tracking.

It’s a fantastic job for someone who is hungry to succeed, understands urgency and efficiency and is able to motivate a team to achieve their plans.

Previous signage installations experience is ideal, but your project management skills gained from shopfitting or construction will also be well regarded. Management of both contractors and staff would also be looked at favorably.

Duties will go across general and project management:

- Budgets and forecasting
- Sales targets and P&L
- Staff recruitment and performance management
- Administration of project management software
- Sourcing new clients
- Maintaining existing relationships
- Sourcing new projects
- Quoting on projects
- Creating project budgets
- Detailing project briefs
- Scheduling installs, organising permits and job briefs.
- Organising sub-contract vendor quotes and booking works.
- Creating, detailing, and managing tasks in our PM software.
- Tracking project performance and profitability against budget.
- Reporting on progress and completion to clients, and head office.
- Managing quotes and invoices, variations, and general admin for your projects.
- Occasional on-site works
