Located in Tullamarine, Elecor is one of Melbourne’s leading electrical and HVAC contractors. We have a great understanding of the dynamics of the HVAC Melbourne market. We use this knowledge to offer custom ducting fabrication for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) in Melbourne and throughout greater Victoria. We specialise in design, estimating, management and installation of complete HVAC duct solutions for domestic, commercial and industrial systems.

We are seeking a qualified Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator to join our small team on a full time basis.

**About the Role**
- Your day will involve fabricating and assembly of sheet metal products - flashings, angles, duct and capping.
- Operating various machinery and hand tools including computer controlled machines.
- Measure, cut, bend and shape sheet metal to the required dimensions.
- Ensuring the quality and accuracy of the finished product is of a very high standard.
- Collaborating with work colleagues to ensure projects are completed within the required time frame to ensure deadlines are met.
- Adhering to all OH & S protocols.
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace.

**Skills and Experience**

To be successful in this role, you will have a range of skills and experience in the following areas:

- Previous experience working with sheet metal, ideally with duct work.
- Previous experience working in a similar environment is preferred but not essential.
- Skilled in various metal working techniques including cutting, bending, shaping and spot welding.
- Ability to read and fabricate from drawings.
- Experience using hand, power and air tools.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
- Medium rigid truck licence preferred but not essential.
