As the Team Leader, you will lead and mentor a team of media and communications professionals to develop and deliver innovative reactive and proactive media solutions that enhance health outcomes for Queensland health system consumers.
**What you will do**:
You will develop and maintain relationships with senior management across Queensland Health, including HHSs, the Office of the Minister for Health and Ambulance Services, other Queensland Government agencies, and key health sector stakeholders. You will also provide high-level advice and leadership on proactive media strategy, delivery, and issues management. Additionally, you will develop, review, and approve media content across various platforms, including media responses, releases, speeches, media plans, and talking points.
**About you**:
Demonstrated experience in delivering significant or complex communication, media or engagement projects within agreed budgets and timeframes, ensuring all output is aligned to strategic priorities.
High level communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in partnership and build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong issues and crisis management skills, including the ability to effectively analyse and understand complex information and negotiate successful outcomes for the organisation.
Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to plan and manage the delivery of numerous competing priorities.
High level analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in a communication and/or project management context.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to the positive culture of a team with a track record of maintaining a customer service mentality and supporting all colleagues to succeed.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills within a communications or media environment, including the ability to effectively coach and mentor staff.
