**Role**:
**_ The role of the Student and Community Engagement Coordinator is to enhance the student experience, build school spirit and enhance student, staff and community relations._**_ _**_This role incorporates three roles:_**

**Student Engagement Coordinator**

**_ Purpose:_**_ _**_to encourage student engagement in activities to improve their schooling experience and in turn positively impact on student achievement and retention._**

**_Key Responsibilities_**

1. Lead and support student engagement initiatives, ensuring students are actively involved in school activities, events, and decision-making processes.

2. Support student leaders connection to the student leadership hub within the Library

3. Support the connection of house leaders with student senior leaders so as to identify opportunities to link house competitions to student led events

4. Engage with community groups to identify opportunities for students including community partnerships

5. Search for and investigate new opportunities for students to engage with a wide range of cohorts both in and out of our local community

6. Identify opportunities and coordinate lunchtime and after school clubs and publicise via Clearnews, Compass, Social Media, Student Leadership and digital displays throughout the school.

7. Assist Duke Of Ed and Aspire coordinators in all aspects of the program.

8. Work with the International Coordinator to encourage the participation of international students school and community activities

9. Promote, run and assist in the organisation of whole school events including the Production, Multi-cultural day, Presentation Evening and the Colour run

10. Work with the Librarian to innovate the Library space through student, parent and community events.

11. Use college social media platforms to connect the school community, promoting student achievements, upcoming events, and key school activities.

12. Collaborate with Year Level Coordinators and staff to organize events, activities, and initiatives that encourage student participation and engagement.

13. Support student leadership programs and initiatives, ensuring students have opportunities to develop their leadership skills and contribute to the school community.

14. Work with students, staff, and parents to address and improve student engagement, focusing on attendance, participation, and connection to the school.

15. Assist in coordinating student surveys and feedback mechanisms, using data to inform strategies that improve student engagement.

16. Promote student achievements, activities, and programs through school newsletters, social media, and the website.

**Community Engagement / Alumni Team**

**_ Purpose: _**To foster connections between past students and Mount Clear College, leveraging their experiences and expertise to benefit current students.

**_ Key Responsibilities_**
- Collaborate with the Alumni team to engage past students and strengthen their involvement with the school.
- Generate ideas and strategies for enhancing the Alumni Program.
- Manage and update the alumni database, providing summaries and updates to the Principal team as requested.
- Identify alumni to participate in key school events (e.g., Step Up Program, Outdoor Education, School Production). Coordinate with staff who organise events to offer
- Work with the Careers and Pathways team to identify alumni for work experience opportunities, presentations, and career-related events.
- Organize and facilitate alumni reunion events and catch-up opportunities.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to keep alumni informed about school events and encourage their participation.

**Sport Coordinator**

**Purpose**:_ to inspire and engage students to participate in all sports and to strive to reach their highest potential_**

**_Key Responsibilities_**

1. Organise the following events and complete all related administrative duties, including working with House Captains to support their leadership roles.

- Cross Country
- School Sport
