The Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust is responsible for Australia's oldest scientific institute, three iconic botanic gardens and one of the nation's most significant public parks. The Trust incorporates the Australian Institute of Botanical Science, the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah and The Domain.

**About the role**

Develop and coordinate the delivery of education and engagement programs consistent with Botanic Gardens strategic objectives, the NSW curriculum with a focus on supporting the interpretation of the First Nations heritage of Botanic Gardens sites.
- Design and develop a range of formal and informal education programs consistent with BGGS strategic objectives to grow participation.
- Develop, revise and produce resources, signage, and displays and utilise emerging technology learning solutions that will increase the participation and reach of BGGS education programs.
- Provide training, guidance and development resources to casual education staff to ensure their capability to deliver safe, high quality educational and interpretive programs and services.
- Maximise booking capacity, evaluate and report on programs and services to provide timely and accurate statistics, data and reports.
- Liaise with education providers, community groups, precinct partners, industry networks and potential partners to share information, seek advice about customer needs and expectations, and keep up to date with educational trends.
- Identify and develop grant submissions to support the program achieving ongoing financial sustainability.
- Respond to information requests using a range of technologies to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of responses.
- Undertake a range of financial activities including processing purchase orders and invoice requests, issuing receipts, recording revenue and budget tracking.

**About You**

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Experience in developing safe, high quality and innovative customer focused education and staff programs to a wide range of people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
- Experience in the development and review of lesson content as well as written and interactive education resources.
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of the structure and workings of the formal education sector, educational learning and interpretive theory, and curriculum requirements.
- Experience in the delivery of educational activities in an outdoor setting, cultural, scientific or environmental institution.

**Essential requirements**:
