Talent International is currently recruiting for an **APS6 Internal Review Officer **to work for one of our **Federal Government clients** based in **Parramatta or Charlestown**.** **The position is **12-month contract role with the possibility of extension** and are paying **$58.50 per hour + Super**.

7.6 per hour and 38 hours per week.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working closely with prospective participants and participants to understand the nature and context of their request for a decision to be reviewed.
- Making evidence-based review decisions in line with NDIS frameworks, as prescribed in the NDIS Act, NDIS rules, Operational Guidelines and client policies.
- Communicating effectively with participants and their representatives to explain reasons for decisions, the review and appeals process and available options.
- Monitoring and managing caseloads and ensuring internal reviews are completed within a timely manner.
- Collaborating with team members to share and develop specialised knowledge in areas of expertise.
- Contributing to quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery practice, processes and systems.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of the NDIS Act
- Experience working within disability sector
- Excellent Written and oral communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Independent worker with strong decision making
