Principal GIS Analyst required to work with a growing exploration and export company, managing and developing extensive GIS/Geo database.

We are looking for a Principal GIS Analyst to work with a quickly growing exploration and export company, managing and developing their extensive GIS and Geological database.

Senior GIS Analysts looking for the next step in their career are encouraged to apply

**The Role**
As the Principal GIS Analyst, you will be involved in all aspects of database management. This will involve not just maintaining existing records but implementing new ways to understand the data. With this data, you will create maps and other reports to provide to internal and external stakeholders. You will also be involved in mentoring and professional development.

**What's Required**
The successful applicant will require;
- A bachelor's degree in Geology, and/or GIS qualification
- Extensive professional experience, with a focus on experience as a GIS analyst for mining/exploration companies
- A track record of co-ordinating exploration activities and managing contractors
- A strong set of organisational and time management skills
- Extensive experience with desktop GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS, FME) and spatial databases (SDE, SQL Server)
- Experience working with spatial data analysis and GIS database administration
- Experience in map production
- Experience in reporting systems and defining report requirements (planning, budgeting, and forecasting)
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with key stakeholders

You will be able to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines, as well as work well in project and operational environments. You will have a strong commitment to safety and a drive to succeed in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
